Happy National Picnic Week! Follow along with Doud’s Market on Instagram and Facebook to see some of their favorite picnic spots on this beautiful island. Doud’s has an awesome selection of ‘picnic’ items to choose from: deli sandwiches, cheese, salami, fruit cups, chips, wine, soda, and more! They are open every day from 7:30AM-12AM.
The Little Luxuries’ girls will be busy celebrating our love for picnics throughout the week as well. Mackinac Island is a great place to be able to do this. There are so many great hidden picnic spots around the island and what better way to travel to those destinations than by bicycle.
We had a local Mackinac Island artist, Kate Dupre, create an adorable map just for us! You can pick up a copy of it at Little Luxuries or the new Doud’s Market and Deli.
My idea of a perfect picnic would be getting a warm picnic blanket from Canvas and Paddle, putting on some comfy clothes, picking up a sandwich, chips, and drinks from Doud’s, and taking a quick 25-minute bike ride out to British Landing. It is so peaceful and beautiful out there, plus it is the perfect spot to cool off in the lake on a hot day!
Stop into Little Luxuries to pick up your own copy of the adorable map, and take the time to go have a picnic in one of Mackinac’s favorite spots!
