This weekend is Mackinac Island's annual Christmas Bazaar. It is a classic, small-town Christmas event. Island residents, friends, family and some tourists take part in the festivities.
Friday evening was the tree lighting with Christmas caroling followed by a pig roast. Saturday is the first day of the bazaar - a silent and live auction, baked goods sale, craft making, lunch, a special visit from Santa and much more!
The entire weekend events benefit the churches on the island and the medical center.
The Christmas season has officially begun on Mackinac Island!
