Father’s Day will be here before you know it! We have rounded up a few of our favorite things in Little Luxuries that are perfect for the special Dad in your life!

Sunday Funday

  1. Sunday Funday Shirt: If your dad loves catching a game on Sunday’s, make sure he has this shirt to cheer on his favorite team!
  2. Collegiate MSU or UofM Pillows: Does your dad have a strong allegiance to MSU or UofM? Grab him one of these uniquely embroidered pillows, honoring his favorite team.
  3. Michigan Beer: Little Luxuries sells a wide variety of Michigan beer. Stop in to mix-n-match a 6 or 12 pack for Dad to enjoy! Don’t forget to pick up a coozie, too!

University of MichiganMSU

Along with so many other dad gifts that we carry, we also have a great selection of Father’s Day cards, to capture just what you want to say to your family man! We’re open daily, starting at 9:30 AM, we can’t wait to see you and help you pick out the perfect present!

Have you ever looked at Little Luxuries’ collection of Lake Art? Lake Art, custom made in Harbor Springs, Michigan (only about 45 minutes south of the Mackinac Bridge) is one of a kind and customizable!

Lake Art

Lake Art is the company that started making 3D wooden lake maps, in the early 2000s. All of the orders are made in the United States by a small family owned and operated company and most of the process is done by hand!
Lake Art
The number of layers on the art depends on the shape of the lake, so each one is creative and unique to the actual lake design. Lake Art has a pop of color included, with blue stain added to the natural coloring of the stain, as well.
Next time you are in the shop, look at our collection of Lake Art! If you don’t see the lake you want on their list of offerings, they will work to make a custom map for you!

Little Luxuries

It’s Mother’s Day Weekend on Mackinac Island! It’s a lot chillier than I’d like it to be, but there are still plenty of ways to have fun and treat Mom to a special day, if you happen to be visiting for the weekend. Last year, my boys took me on a picnic and then to the Butterfly House for.a day of family fun!
A favorite Mother’s Day tradition for many is brunch at the Grand Hotel. Take your Mom to the Grand Buffet Luncheon in the Main Dining Room. It’s a great way to celebrate Mom in a special way to let her know that you love her!
Many of the shops on Main Street will be open, if you still haven’t found the perfect gift for Mom and need to do some last minute shopping.  Little Luxuries will be open on Sunday starting at 10 AM and we hope to see you then!

Today’s Monday Maker is a local favorite, Kate Dupre! Kate’s work has been featured in Little Luxuries, Doud’s Market and now is available at the Artists Market on Mackinac Island. She has created custom prints available at Doud’s that highlights the best picnic spots on Mackinac Island. One of her trademark designs in creating maps of Mackinac Island and now other cities throughout Michigan. Her designs are also featured on Michigan pins, available at Little Luxuries! Some of her other prints in the Artists Market include Fort Mackinac, Mackinac Island Fudge, I’d Rather Be on Mackinac and more Mackinac related designs!

This week’s Monday Maker is about Mud & Maker, “Unconvential Pottery for Unconventional People.”
Mud & Maker
Mud & Maker is run by Stephanie and Ryan, from Pennsylvania. Stephanie started working with clay products almost 15 years ago and never looked back! Stephanie and Ryan use nature, their surroundings and people that they have met as inspiration for the products that they create.
Mud & Maker
Mud & Maker is truly unconventional. They work to blend multiple techniques and mediums into original pieces that you can’t find anywhere. Along the way, they also add their own sassy twist! The collection of products that they sell includes glasses, bowls, mugs, signs, hooks, garden signs, planters and more!

We hope that you will pop into the Artists Market of Mackinac Island this summer to see the collection of Mud & Maker products that we carry!
