Hello!
We completed another summer season on busy Mackinac Island! I cannot believe we celebrated my 15th season in business! This does make me feel like I am aging! But with aging, learning so much each year in business and with so many memories to look back to at Little Luxuries.
I had one of the best teams this summer! If only they could have all stayed longer, but unfortunately, college life gets in the way. A few girls will be back again next season and I am looking forward to that!
One of the best parts of owning a business is watching your staff grow and learn. They started to take leadership and really feel 'at home' at Little Luxuries. It's awesome to give young women a wonderful, unforgettable experience.
This summer was a little different at home with our three young boys growing up. They want to be busy, seeing friends, playing sports and even working a little! It was hard for me excepting our walks downtown or along the boardwalk weren't the highlight of their day anymore. We had basketball camps instead. With this transition in life as a mom, I am still trying to hang on to those little moments I know they will remember when they are older. We had plenty of evenings at the Grand Hotel pool together, bike rides and ice cream dates.
As we went October, our last month of the 2023 season, the countdown is on for our closing day. We will be closing at 5pm on October 29th, BUT we will still be open online to make shopping easy for you! If you know me, you will still be seeing some new goodies arriving in the off-season. I'm always wanting to bring in new things for you, plus the classics.
We are all SO excited for our fall Witches Brew event scheduled for Thursday, October 12th from 5-7pm! It's our final event of the season and one of the best!
Thank you for supporting Little Luxuries the last 15 years. Your excitement for our little luxuries and Mackinac Island is what keeps us going!
