30A Trip

Posted by Nicole Doud on

In November after our season ended our family took a quick trip to 30A, FL. We stayed in Seacrest Beach. If you've never heard of 30A it is a highway along the coast with several cute little beach towns between Panama City and Destin. We always like to try something new and I had heard a lot about 30A so we gave it a try!
Unfortunately, our weather wasn't the best during our four day stay, but we still found fun things to do in the rain like fishing! The boys went for a 2 hour fishing trip and loved the captains! I can include the info on the charter if you're interested.
The beaches were beautiful and clean and perfect for building sandcastles and burying each other in the sand. We did a couple morning walks on the beach when it wasn't raining. The boys could run, explore and be creative in the sand and waves.
Our air bnb was only a few blocks away where we could walk or take a golf cart which the rental provided for us. We did notice some areas were not golf cart friendly so we did not use it that much. We did however, love a coffee shop/cafe down the road called Fonville Press. The chai lattes and food were delicious and affordable too. We loved the ambiance of the cafe and the staff was very friendly. I highly recommend visiting Fonville Press if you ever head this way.
We did some shopping in Rosemary Beach and visited the best little book store called The Hidden Lantern. They had a cute cozy area to read and such a great book selection for kids and paper goods.
On one of the rainy days we went glow in the dark miniature golfing inside. It was a blast! It was jungle theme so Johnny was a big fan! Definitely a fun thing to do on a rainy evening.
Our rental was great. It had a beautiful pool and hot tub. Even in the rain we soaked in the tub and played in the pool. The rental supplied several pool toys and sand toys for us. The house was clean, spacious, decorated nicely and had everything we needed.
The area was bike friendly too and reminded me of Mackinac. We went at the end of their season like Mackinac so it was very quiet. We heard it is very busy in the summer months.
