It's one of the best times of the year in Northern Michigan! Lake life, picnics, family time, art fairs, and so much more! Our boys get out of school this Friday and we are kicking off summer break with a Gus Macker in Gaylord, MI! If you are not sure what a Gus Macker is, it is a 3 on 3 basketball tournament. I use to play in these tournaments ALL the time growing up. So many fun memories from them. I am excited our kids get to experience them now. Hopefully there are not too many injuries!
The store is filled with our favorite treats and little luxuries! Our team is busy restocking, merchandising, chatting with customers and selling our pretty goodies! I can already tell it's going to be a busy summer!
We move back to Mackinac next week and I am excited for our lemonade stands, walks, bike rides, and not just being. My word for the year was 'peace'. These next few months is when I really need to find peace during these hectic work days. I will be reminding myself to take that walk or bike ride, sit in the sun by myself for ten minutes or listen to a podcast or journal. I hope you will find peace this summer season as well. Summers are packed with so many exciting things and we have to find time to just 'be' as well.
Our boys are looking forward to playing sports in our backyard, meeting up with friends, attending sports camps, fishing, visiting the fort, and helping mom and dad out at our businesses.
