Old-Fashioned Christmas Fun!

Posted by Nicole Doud on

Who doesn't love an old-fashioned Christmas event? Mackinac Island residents and tourists do! It was a little different this year without snow, but it was still a great time! The annual Mackinac Island Christmas Bazaar is the first weekend in December each year. It supports all of the churches here on Mackinac Island.
The weekend starts off with the Christmas Tree lighting. Friends, family and visitors are gathered around the quaint, magical tree singing Christmas carols and one child from the gathering is chosen to light the tree!
Saturday is a busy day with silent and live auctions, bake sale, lunch and a visit from the big guy, Santa Claus!
Sunday includes more auctions, a prime rib lunch dinner and Monday a final lunch and auction.
There is a facebook page with photos if you would like to learn more! Facebook: Mackinac Island Christmas Bazaar
