5 things I am thankful for this November:
- My Family, of course: As the boys are growing up I want to keep them closer to me as much as possible as I know these days will be limited one day.
- Health: more than ever I am grateful for our health and work hard at keeping us healthy. There are so many added chemicals to our foods and products. As parents, we really have to do our homework to keep our families and ourselves healthy.
- Faith: My faith is important to me and our family. I’m working hard to keep a relationship with God especially as we grow older and go through different experiences. We need Him with us through it all; the big and little things.
- My Parents: as my parents get older, I always think of them and how they have helped raised who I am today. Any moment I can be with them, we try to make it happen!
- Our Home: as I get older I realize hoe important a safe and cozy home is for our family. Laughter, love and kindness within the walls are what I want our home to have. Messy phases, dirty dishes at times, friends over, sports being played, movies on, video games, homework sessions, candles burning, loud music from the kids, all of these things make our home special and safe.
What are you thankful for this November? Did you know saying what you are grateful for each day helps you become a better person? I ask our kids this question every time at the dinner table. Even though sometimes it’s a goofy answer, it still gets them thinking.
