Mother's Day is quickly approaching and I know this isn't always the best day for many, but if you are celebrating the day with your loved ones Mackinac Island is a special place to spend the day.
A perfect Mother's Day spent on Mackinac Island in my eyes would be like this:
- Breakfast in bed made by the boys
- Walk to Luckybean for a mid morning treat - chai latte and mango smoothies for the boys!
- Attend mass at Ste. Anne's church
- Go on a family bike ride through the island
- Take a break at Ann's Tablet
- Stop by the Secret Garden by Grand Hotel
- Play putt putt golf at Grand Hotel
- Relax in our backyard
- Enjoy an outdoor dinner on the grill
Now if you don't live on the island and can't do all of these things, I would also enjoy eating out at the Gatehouse Restaurant on the outdoor patio or at Mission Point's outdoor restaurant and spend time in the lawn area at Mission Point.
I would recommend shopping for a little luxury at Little Luxuries also! With three boys I never have time to actually shop, but if you are able to that would be a nice perk to the day. There are many other shops downtown that have cute things.
