Hello, July!
It has been a rainy and not so hot start to our summer in northern Michigan. We are hoping it gets warmer so we can jump in the lake, have warm summer evening picnics along M-185 and camp outs in the backyard.
June was a hectic month! We survived Lilac Festival and all of our in-store events! We attended several island fundraising events and ceremonies. I spent four days downstate in my hometown while the boys attended a week long basketball camp. The boys experienced their first Gus Macker! If you don't know what that is, look it up! It is so fun if you love basketball!
The store is at capacity filled with pretty cards, sweatshirts, perfumes, lotions, lip balms, ornaments, Michigan snacks and so much more! Our holiday product is just arriving also!! I'd say I'm not ready for that quite yet!
I am trying to keep up on activities for the boys with friends and sports, island events, work and keeping the house clean and I want to add a little charm to the backyard patio. Pictures to come later this month!
I hope your July will be filled with fireflies, boat rides, bike rides, catching up with friends, making a fresh summer salad and taking a last minute trip you've been wanting to take for awhile now.
Summer goes fast, so don't delay on your bucket list!

Nicole, your boys are growing so fast. Your “store” my favorite. Im excited to spend a few days on the island , last week in July. My husband and I keep a watchful eye on weather thru Horns Bar webcam. I hope we have nice weather July 29-Aug1. Cant wait to visit my fav store. YOURS !
