I made fun Grinch Cookies with the boys this week - I think you'll love this recipe from Restock My Home on Instagram! (Follow her here: https://www.instagram.com/restockmyhome/)
Cookie Recipe:
- 3 tbsp of butter
- ⅔ cup of sugar
- 2 small eggs
- 1/4 cup of sour cream
- 1½ tsp of vanilla extract
- green food coloring
- yellow food coloring
- 1⅓ cups of all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp of baking powder
- ¼ tsp of salt
- red & green M&Ms, sprinkles, and powdered sugar.
Begin by mixing the butter and sugar in a bowl until well combined. Add the eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.
For a festive touch, add green food coloring and a drop of yellow.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, then stir in the red & green M&Ms and sprinkles.
Chill the cookie dough in the refrigerator for 60 minutes to help it firm up.
Once chilled, scoop out 1- to 1½-tablespoon portions of dough and roll each ball in sprinkles and powdered sugar for a decorative finish.
Preheat your oven to 350°F and bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
Allow the cookies to cool slightly before enjoying them with your loved ones.
Whether you're baking with your family or hosting a holiday gathering, these cookies are sure to be a hit. So gather your ingredients, round up the kids, and have a fun baking session creating these tasty treats together!
