Can you believe the 4th of July is tomorrow?! Time is flying here on Mackinac Island we're trying to soak up every moment of summer magic!
The weather wasn't the best in June, but we still made the store full of sunshine and happy moments. Lilac Festival was special with having some of our favorite Michigan artists and makers in the store with us. Parade day was full of excitement! Last weekend, Jenna Kator, our dear friend was in the store with us showcasing her beautiful handbags. We even have an exclusive handbag with Jenna only sold at Little Luxuries for a limited time! We had a team bonding night at Grand Hotel in the Cupola Bar. If you've never been, you need to go! It is lovely!
Whether you've been coming to the island for years or it's your first visit, I want to personally thank you for being part of the Little Luxuries story. It truly means the world. I may not 'be on the floor' as much with our growing family keeping me busy, but please stop in and leave a note or let the staff know you say hello!
July is one of my favorite months - colorful gardens are in full bloom, downtown is buzzing with energy, and the lake breeze never gets old. We've filled the shop with fresh finds, handmade goods, and plenty of island-inspired treasures to bring a little Mackinac magic home with you.
If you're planning a visit this month, I'd love to see you, but I may be busy with our three boys if I miss you! We get to head to Akron, OH in mid July for a WEEK as our oldest heads to Nationals for Soap Box Derby Championship. We are so proud of him! Being a way from the store and the island for a week in the middle of July is new for us and scares me! Luckily, I have an amazing team to keep the store in good shape!
