JWBT I Tea

DESCRIPTION:

05 KEEMUN CONGFU

There are only three Chinese black teas that ever receive consideration as being a “classic” Chinese tea. One of those is the famed Tangyang Congfu created by the tea masters in the Tangyang Village of China’s Fujian province. We partnered with these famous tea growers and producers to bring you Joseph Wesley’s Black Tea No. 5. This stunningly complex and varied tea has all the characteristics of an outstanding Keemun black tea: tightly rolled leaves, crystalline auburn/red liquor, sugary aroma and an unforgettably sweet taste that grows in complexity the more it is steeped.

06 BAI LIN CONGFU

Made strictly from the early, fresh, tender, and young buds of the Da-Bai tea cultivar, Joseph Wesley’s Black Tea No. 6 showcases the sweet, smooth and slightly toasty characteristics of China’s famous Bai Lin Congfu black tea. This tea is sweet in taste and beautiful in construction with a delicate array of golden-orange buds and a distinct fuzz showcasing the skill used in the complicated hand-crafting of this tea. With notes of caramel and cream, Joseph Wesley’s Black Tea No. 6 is an enduring way to reenergize in the morning, afternoon, or before a night out on the town.

07 LAPSANG SOUCHONG

Joseph Wesley’s Black Tea No. 7 is a malty, robust, full-bodied tea that is as sensual in its appearance as it is seductive in its taste and aroma. A uniquely crafted iteration of the famous and oldest of all Chinese black teas Lapsang Souchong, this tea beautifully balances its smoky undertones with rich malty plum and chocolate overtones. Harvested in the famed tea gardens of the Wu Yi Shan rock cliffs and crafted by the tea masters of the Tong Cheng Village in China’s Fujian Province, this tea’s large, dark leaves provide both a mesmerizing texture as well as a lush and rich amber liquor.

T1 ZHEJIANG

Joseph Wesley Black Tea No. T1 is an organically-certified tea made from the
famed Long Jing cultivars of China’s Zhejiang Province. Hand harvested from the
mountains of Zhu Jia Jian island in the Putuo district of the Zhoushan archipelago
in the Pacific Ocean. This full leaf, crystal clear, amber colored tea is naturally
sweet and earthy, can be enjoyed throughout the day, and will pair with any of your
favorite adjuncts (milk and sugar / spice and honey). Because these leaves were
handpicked and left whole, a tea bag can be steeped many times. Whether you drink
this tea on a cool autumn evening or a dew filled summer morning, we hope you
enjoy the craft and care that went into the creation of this tea.
