I love to make the boys fruit pizza on special occasions! I found this recipe for an Easter Egg Fruit Pizza that I know they are going to love!
  • 1 batch sugar cookie dough - either store-bought or homemade
  • 12 oz. cream cheese brick - room temp
  • 6 tablespoons butter - room temperature
  • 2 cups powder confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Colorful Fruits - I used strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, mandarins, grapes. Some may need to be cut into smaller pieces.

Instructions

  1. Roll out cookie dough into an egg shape onto a cookie sheet. Trim if needed.
  2. Bake according to package instructions until golden brown.
  3. Allow to cool.
  4. Using an electric mixer, beat together cream cheese and butter in a large bowl until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add sugar, continue to beat until well blended.
  6. Add vanilla and stir.
  7. Spread frosting on to the cookie, then decorate and create a design with your fruits.
I hope to make this recipe this weekend when we are at home when we are crossing off our Easter activities. Did you read that blog? If you missed it- it’s right here!

It’s time to celebrate a new holiday, which you know I love! The boys and I have a fun week planned filled with Easter activities that I know they are going to love!

This past weekend the boys were SO excited about Easter coming up that we did a “practice” Easter egg hunt in the yard- they loved it! It was a fun way to get outside and burn off some energy!

One of our friends gifted us a Gingerbread Easter House - which is so fun! I love that these are becoming activities for more than just Christmas! We plan to do the Gingerbread House together one night as a family - I know there will be more snacking than decorating, but that’s just part of the fun!

Of course, we plan to dye eggs this week, too! This is an activity that I grew up doing and always love to have the boys do with me! It’s so fun to see the boys be creative with what colors and designs they choose to put on their eggs!

I love writing cards + receiving cards! The boys and I are going to make Easter cards for our neighbors as a way to bring a smile to their faces this spring season!

I found this super easy but fun craft to make Paper Plate Easter Bunnies! All you need is Paper Plates, Construction Paper, Pom Poms, Pipe Cleaners, Googly Eyes and Glue! It will be fun to create cute and silly faces!

My Easter Delights board on Pinterest is filled with decor, treats, activities and more! You can look at it here! if you need just a little inspiration for your home decor or for a fun new treat this week!

I love getting emails from Play, Party, Plan! They always inspire me with craft ideas for me to do with the boys! If you are still looking for Easter inspiration, check out their website post here that has 30+ Easter Games that will keep your family entertained for hours this upcoming weekend!

I’d love to hear what you do fun for Easter with your kids! As always, I hope that you find a way to celebrate and make every day special in a way that works for you and your family.

You know that I love to celebrate every single holiday, no matter how big or small!

I love Easter, it always falls in spring when I’m ready for more color, fresh flowers, and just a fresh start to the season! This year, Easter feels later than usual, so I have enjoyed being able to take my time decorating - adding spring touches to the Easter decor!

You can read my Spring Finds Blog HERE where I highlight some new accessories, plus a few home items I’ve decorated with and loved this spring! 🌸

I’ve been busy putting together little Easter baskets for the boys. Here are a few things I’ve found from the shop that I know the boys will love + a few goodies from Amazon!

What Does Bunny Like? This book is so cute because it’s tactile for your kids to enjoy! I know that it’s a little young for John, but he will still love it!

My Easter Basket Book Such a cute addition to any spring gift! It has hide + collect eggs throughout the book. So fun and interactive!

Bunny Pillow I love these bunny pillows because the proceeds go to lilac artisans through the Imani Collective. It’s an amazing company that we are carrying for the second year now - check out their story here: https://imanicollective.com/pages/artisans

Ouch Pouch: These are so cute to add to any gift! It’s a gel ice pack that is perfect for every “ouchy”!

Don’t Push The Button! I have been finding little surprises to stick in the boys' Easter baskets and this book is a perfect addition to their basket!

Easter Bear Gummies
Of course, I had to include these delicious gummies from Hammonds! They are SO tasty - kids and adults alike will love them!

Rainbow Scratch Paper The boys love these little scratch notebooks! They provide endless hours of fun entertainment as they make difference pictures and drawings.

I hope that you’re able to celebrate this Easter season in a way that is fun and relaxing for you and your family.

Easter Weekend is almost here, which means fun treats, egg hunts, pastel colors galore, egg dyeing and more exciting memories to be made! As the boys get older, it’s fun to see them remember the traditions that we celebrate each year and look forward to doing those same fun things again! Here are a few cute pictures of the boys enjoying our Easter traditions last year:

Last year, I made this sweet and savory Bunny Munch that everyone, kids included, loved! I plan to make it again this Easter for all to enjoy.
Moritz Fine Designs
Ingredients:
-4 cups chex cereal (your preference on wheat, corn or rice)
-2 cups stick pretzels
-2 cups cheerios
-1 cup candy coated Easter eggs (Hershey’s, Cadbury, M&M’s, or whatever you prefer!)
-1 12 oz. bag of white chocolate chips
Directions:
-Mix all ingredients (minus the white chocolate chips)
-Microwave and melt the white chocolate chips for 90 seconds, pausing to stir as needed, until it is completely melted.
-Pour the chocolate over the mix and stir in thoroughly.
-Place the mixture on wax paper and put in the fridge until it is hard and ready to enjoy!

Another tradition that the boys are starting to love is dyeing eggs! Instead of purchasing Easter Egg dye, we have tried making it! An article from Country Living had a recipe where you use different kinds of fruits and veggies to make the coloring, which is fun for the boys to see how that works!
Country Living
The recipe is simple:
-1 Quart of Water
-1 Tablespoon of Salt
-2 Tablespoons of Vinegar
-2 Tablespoons of the fruit, vegetable or spice for coloring
Directions:
-Mix all those ingredients together and boil.
-Simmer for 30 minutes, strain the dye, let it cool and then dip your eggs!

I hope that you enjoy Easter Sunday surrounded by your loved ones, with sweet treats and colorful eggs!

Easter Bunny Munch

It's almost Easter! For many it's spring break this week. If you are around the house and looking for some fun, little things to do for your kids, this easy recipe will bring smiles to your little ones! {and it's easy!}

Easter Bunny Munch

4 c. cheerios

4 c. chex cereal or choose your own. I had some chocolate cherrio bunnies on hand

1 c. candy coated easter eggs

1 bag of white chocolate chips or 2 chunks of white chocolate bark

You really can add anything you would like. That's what I love about this mix. You can make it healthier or more sweet.

1. In large bowl, mix all ingredients except white chocolate.

2. Place white chocolate on the stove on LOW for 10 minutes, stirring often.

3. Pour chocolate over snack mix and stir.

4. Let harden and enjoy! You can let it set on wax paper. I just let it harden in the bowl and it turned out great!
