When I was in NYC this past winter my husband found one of my favorite things – homemade marshmallows!! This was not just a marshmallow made by KRAFT, this was entirely homemade and even the graham cracker was to. Check out S’mores Bakery website and see how Sara whips up these delicious sweets!
While in NYC for the gift show last month I visited a vegan bakery I had read about, called Babycakes. (cute name, huh?!) It is a vegan bakery, which to some of you may sound not so great, but the brownie cupcake and pumpkin cupcake my husband and I sampled were both delicious! Not only were the baked goods tasty, so was the interior of the bakery. Employees dressed in vintage pink uniforms, vintage ephemera on the walls, and the front of the bakery was great too! A cute metal table and chairs sat in front of the window and the atmosphere of the bakery made you feel as if you were in a small town.

Just staring at these sprinkle- coated cake balls makes me hungry for something sweet! Cake Balls will do the trick! They seem to be the new hot item in bakeries lately. When I was in Chicago last month I visited a newer bakery I have never been to called the Bleeding Heart Bakery. It was spacious inside with a cafe area to sit down and order off a menu or stand in line to order something sweet to go. I am so glad I stopped by. I picked out 4 cake balls, and gosh, they were better then a piece of cake! (even though it is cake inside!) Bleeding Heart Bakery uses natural ingredients from local farms and people that share the same love that they do. They use sustainable goods and organic ingredients to produce awesome baked goods such as detailed cakes, pastries and many other yummy delights!
Next time you are in Chicago stop by BHB to try out their awesome baked goods! You won’t be disappointed!

Eddie Bauer, Lodge Down Parka, the best winter coat!
I never buy anything from Eddie Bauer, but when someone recommended their Lodge Down Parka I took a look at it online. It looked nice…reviews were great…price was great…so I gave it a shot! I’ve been looking for a really warm, but stylish winter coat and one that will last for a long time. I did good, I love this coat! If anyone is looking for a super warm, yet light, stylish, winter coat – check the Eddie Bauer lodge down parka coat out!
