The weather was absolutely perfect for early April on Mackinac.

Happy Easter to you and your family!  The weather was stunning Friday and Saturday.  I love the photo I took above.  This was taken while I was walking the dogs early Saturday morning.  Just beautiful! 

The weekend was a fun, busy one for us! We did yard work, washed windows, made time to color Easter eggs and make vanilla cupcakes!  The weekend ended with a wonderful Easter mass at Ste. Anne’s Church and a delicious brunch at the Village Inn Restaurant.  Now I’m tuckered out and gearing up for a busy week ahead getting the store ready for all of you to visit Mackinac Island and Little Luxuries’ shortly!!

Gorgeous day on Mackinac!

Hello! I am not quite sure if I am ready for April or not! The last couple weeks have been a whirlwind.  The shop re-opens in less than a month!!!  I apologize for not posting as much; I was without internet for a week as we are doing some remodeling and major spring cleaning. 

The photo above was taken yesterday while I was walking Penny along the boardwalk.  The sparkling frigid water and Round Island Lighthouse in the distance looked very welcoming as warm weather and more sunshine is just around the corner!

Update on the website: I have not added any new items recently. I am sorry! Once my help comes for the summer, I hope to be better at adding items!  I could use a year-round assistant I wish!

The rest of the week in Northern Michigan calls for lots of sunshine and warmer temps – makes for a perfect Easter Weekend!

Key West, FL – such a neat, tropical place!

I am back home on Mackinac Island after enjoying a few days in Key West, FL.  I had such a great time – fabulous seafood, sailing, rode bicycles through town, hit the beach, downtown shopping, and fun, tropical cocktails!!  It was not much of a change in temp. from Key West (80 degree weather) to MI’s unusually warm March weather (70 degree weather!). I’m not complaining though! It’s nice to get a jump start on spring!

I’m sure you have noticed, our blog has been updated – I hope you like the changes and I apologize for any hiccups you may encounter while browsing the blog.  I hope to get everything organized shortly.

I will be adding new items to the website this week and next week so please stop by and visit the online shop!
